Boston University Agganis (Harry) Arena opens.

It is located on the former site of Commonwealth Armory at 925 Commonwealth Avenue, it is named for the former Boston University football and baseball player from Lynn. Capacity is 7,200. Boston University men’s hockey team beats the University of Minnesota 2-1 in the first game played at the new arena.
